You need to complete a minimum of 200 hours of formal training to obtain a qualification that entitles you to apply for insurance to teach yoga. Yoga Teacher Training Australia course is set over 1 year of modules, including Heidi as a mentor for the full year.  This is a course that is registered and recognised by an industry body to ensure you can obtain adequate insurance.

The Yoga Teacher Training course can be studied from anywhere in the world, and the webinars are set at a time suitable to for various time zones.

We believe yoga is for everybody and all bodies, and you do not need to have the perfect, injury free body to be a yoga teacher, or to join us on the course. This course is taught in a safe and sustainable way, so you can practice (and teach) yoga- utilising modifications or alternate postures.

When you sign up for the course we will ask you to let us know of any injuries or issues we need to be away from.  When students have their own limitations and are aware of looking after an injury, they can actually benefit you as a teacher and be an asset in body awareness.

The Yoga we teach on our Yoga Teacher Training courses is an authentic ‘vini’ flow – which connects Hatha Yoga postures in short flowing Vinyasa sequences. The Yoga taught draws from the Sri T Krishnamacharya lineage – a therapeutic and holistic approach to teaching the goal of which is to create healing and wellbeing in mind, body and breath. All our teachings have been passed down through the Sri T Krishnamacharya lineage, building a strong and authentic foundation for your teaching and practice. This legitimate source ensures what you teach is safe and effective. You know what you are sharing is the real deal – based on authentic wisdom built upon by Yogis for thousands of years!

Yoga Australia, is the governing industry body of yoga in Australia. To join an industry body, you must demonstrate your qualifications. If the course you undertake is not registered with that body, you may need to provide evidence that it meets the industry body’s criteria for membership.

This yoga teacher training course has been designed specifically to meet the Yoga Australia 200-hour teacher training requirement.  If all the modules have been completed, webinars attended and self-study completed, you will have met the required number of contact hours and areas of study to gain the full 200-hour certification.

This is entirely up to you as there is no set time of how long you need to take or how many hours a week to study. However we recommend an average of 3-4 hours a week (including practical sessions) would be the average if taking a year to do the course.
